Esper Economy

Esperchain will introduce two tokens:

• Esper $ESP coins for governance and the proof-of-stake layer.

• $GPU coins for the GPU-computation layer.

Depending on whether Esperchain will be two-chain or a single chain, $GPU will be its own cryptocurrency or a token on $ESP.

$GPU coins

Coins for GPU-computation layer will be a pure utility token and will serve a role of credits for computations.

In the simplest form 1 $GPU would correspond to 1 hour of computation on a particular virtual machine (think AWS EC2 P2.xlarge for example). The particular virtual machine will be updated with time and technological progress but it should be always new enough to make cutting-edge machine learning training possible.

$ESP coins

Esper coins will allow the community to vote for the updates and governance, especially in crucial topics like:

• $GPU correspondence to particular virtual machines (thus requirements for miners)

• grant proposals

• new infrastructure

$ESP will be also the gas coin for the proof-of-stake layer.
